Due to increased prices for Apple’s AirPods range in India, Apple fans will now have to pay more for their favorite headphones. In the country, Apple sells the AirPods 2nd generation, AirPods 3rd generation, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. These products are now 10% more expensive. The reason for the price increase may be the proposal in the Union Budget 2022 to increase the basic custom duty. The basic custom duty on headphones was raised from 10% to 22% by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, whose impact is now being felt on the AirPods range since headphones were included in the product categories that were to be affected by this increase.
